In Slappy's House

Dr. Jay with nephews John and Wyatt visiting with Slappy Kalamazoo Wings during a spectacular shut-out domination of the Fort Wayne Komets after Thanksgiving. We understand Slappy makes a migration flight during summer months to Peoria, Illinois. Since we're all originally from near that same area, Slappy asked to have his picture with us. Note: Wyatt is wearing a vintage Peoria Rivermen hockey jersey and Dr. Jay with a St. Louis Blues jersey. The Rivermen once were and now the Kalamazoo Wings are farm-teams for the Blues.

A Kalamazoo Orthodontics Fish Story

Congratulations to former KO patient, Megan Alkema, for her winning entry into our “Name Our Pufferfish” Contest!   Sponge Bob fans spoke and Megan’s suggestion of “Mrs. Puff” (Sponge Bob’s beleaguered driving instructor) won the day . . . and she won 4 tickets to the Kalamazoo Wings “Autism Awareness Night” game on December 14^th.  The newly christened Mrs. Puff suddenly became camera-shy (and hid herself in the coral) when Megan visited Kalamazoo Orthodontics to have her picture taken.  No matter, we’re proud that Megan’s great smile is spectacular.  Thanks to everyone for all their great name suggestions for our fun contest.

Braces and Baseball

Congratulations to KO patient, Nick Tiller, star shortstop for the Maroons Travel Baseball organization!  His team finished #1 in USSSA State rankings and also won the BPA State Championship.  An incredible season for these gifted athletes.  Nick is wearing Kalamazoo Orthodontics developed Butterfly System braces, along with Dr. Bowman’s Quick Fix device for correcting crossbites.  We look forward to more of Nick and his teammates accomplishments next season.

Celebration Smile at Kalamazoo Orthodontics

Celebration!  Colleen Whitman just had her braces removed.  Colleen's treatment was finished 4 months earlier than projected by using AcceleDent to enhance tooth movement.  She is one of the 34 AD patients that we enrolled in our ongoing clinical research.  She is thrilled with her results, posing with KO Team Members Holly, Donna, and Dr. Bowman.
