KO Team members attended continuing education this week including a course on HIPAA regarding Health Privacy for patients and also an Advanced Invisalign Study Club presentation by Dr. Donna Galante from Rocklin, CA. Dr. Galante is one of the top Invisalign providers and gave an excellent and useful presentation. Life-long learning never stops!

S2 Games and Braces

Kalamazoo’s S2 Games, creators of the internationally popular MOBA on-line game “Heroes of Newerth,” added some beautiful artwork to our collection.  S2 just unveiled their new game, “Strife,” at the recent PAX Prime game convention.  So, two of these graphic pieces feature characters from “Strife” signed by one of creative minds behind the game, Chad LaForce, who is wearing braces from Kalamazoo Orthodontics. 

S2 also gave us a piece featuring “Maliken,” one of the menacing characters from “Heroes of Newerth.”  S2’s CEO, Marc DeForest, who plays his own games using the moniker “Maliken,” provided and autographed all of artwork for KO as he’s wearing Invisalign.

Brazilian Publication

Que Legal! Tudo Bem! Muito Obrigado! A Brazilian colleague informed us that Nanda and Kapila's orthodontic textbook, "Current Therapy in Orthodontics," (that includes a chapter by Dr. Bowman entitled, "Class II Combination Therapy") was translated into Portuguese and published in Brazil.
