How about his experience in orthodontic treatment? He said he's still good friends with his doc. Both are expert wire-benders . . .

B.B. King Birthday and Braces

What does B.B. King have to do with braces?

Happy Birthday to B.B.!  He’s 88 years old young today and still singing the blues.  Dr. Bowman had the opportunity to meet this legend a few years ago (thanks to his goddaughter who was one of KO’s orthodontic patients and sports a lovely smile). B.B. graciously signed a guitar and some other memorabilia for our collection.  Here’s to many more years of incredible music from B.B. and his “Lucille” Gibson guitar.

Protecting Patient's Teeth During Orthodontics at Kalamazoo Orthodontics

Orthodontic Practice US just published Dr. Bowman's most recent collaboration with his Brazilian orthodontic colleagues on the topic of protecting patient's teeth during orthodontic treatment.  In addition, one of the images from the research article was also chosen for the cover picture of the issue.

Dr. Bowman has had several articles published over the years on the subject of preventing enamel decalcification with several research pieces evaluating the use of fluoride varnishes.  The present piece compares the use of fluoride sealants with varnishes.  Kalamazoo Orthodontics was one of the first U.S. orthodontic practices to spearhead the application of these procedures for the benefit of our patients while also describing the benefits in Dr. Bowman's lectures around the world.
