Searching through our memorabilia collection, Joshua Harrison and Jacob Rollins found them and they now have tickets to the Autism Awareness Hockey Night with the K-Wings.  We've had a fun Halloween, watching movies like Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory, Charlie Brown's Great Pumpkin, and the original Blob (with Steve McQueen) on our clinic area TV's.

Let's Brace K-Wing's "Slappy"

Team KO featured in K-Wings Promo.  In support of the Kalamazoo Wings 40^th hockey season, Slappy – the K-Wings popular mascot, surprised Kalamazoo Orthodontics by visiting us to shoot a promo video for the team.  Our staff was able to persuade Slappy into one of our chairs to get him started with orthodontics for his overbite.  Unfortunately, we quickly found that Slappy has no teeth to straighten. 

The K-Wings promo’s, featuring some moments with Team KO and Slappy, will appear on the Wings Stadium scoreboard and in ads running on Channel 3 WWMT (CBS), generally channel 5 Fox17 and also Charter ESPN, Fox Sports Detroit, Fox News, ABC Family, NBC Spots Net, ESPN 2, AMC, Comedy and Big Ten networks.  Look fast for us!

Clear Collection from Dr. Bowman and Hu-Friedy

Dr. Bowman's Clear Collection of instruments, new from Hu-Friedy, includes a device called, "The Horizontal." These pliers are for fine-tuning and further individualizing Invisalign treatment for our patients. Specifically, The Horizontal creates an impression in the aligner plastic to enhance controlled tipping and torque for individual teeth, but can also be used to increase the retention of clear aligners. Something new from Kalamazoo Orthodontics and Hu-Friedy. 

San Diego Academy of Orthodontists

Drs. Jay Bowman and Anil Idicula (Denver, CO) provided presentations for the San Diego Academy of Orthodontists in San Diego.  This was Jay's second invitation to this august group as he had addressed the members  three years ago.  Thank you to OrthoAccel for sponsoring the event.

Team KO Attended Invisalign Seminar

Team KO attended the Invisalign: Clear Techniques II course featuring speakers, Dr. Jonathan Nicozsis and Charlene White.  Drs. Nicozsis and Bowman were both members of the Invisalign Teen Research Group - the first orthodontists to use Invisalign Teen.  Our team proudly displayed our brand new KO jackets!
