Dylan Bickings with his Dad, Shawn, at the 2016 National Fallen Firefighters
Stair climb in Kalamazoo at the Wings Event Center. “Braced-up” Dylan thought
he was going as a spectator and was shocked to find out that he was going to
climb with his father, a lieutenant for the Parchment Fire Department, and the
rest of the others firefighters and participants. The climb is to remind us of the
heroes from the FDNY on 9/11. Dylan and
Shawn look forward to being a part of this event every year.
