"Bootstrap" elastics assist in directing the eruption and correct the rotations of troublesome teeth (especially upper lateral incisors) during clear aligner treatments (e.g., Invisalign). Dr. Bowman has discussed this technique to improve the predictability in a number of articles and lecture presentations.
