Insignia Custom Braces at Kalamazoo Orthodontics - Research & Award

Clinical Study Supports Insignia Treatment

In addition to receiving the 2013 American Technology Award, Insignia Advanced Smile Design was touted in the April 2013 issue of widely-read trade publication, the Journal of Clinical Orthodontics (JCO) for what the editor deemed as "promising" results gleaned during a clinical study led by a team of renowned experts and doctors from the University of North Carolina.

Forty-six patients at varying ages (between 12 and 52 years old) were either treated with Insignia customized appliances or conventional preadjusted bracket systems. After reviewing the highly anticipated results, the team of researchers confirmed that the Insignia patients had significantly shorter treatment times-reducing treatment time on average by 37 percent and requiring seven fewer appointments.

Additionally, patients in the Insignia group demonstrated results that suggest Insignia was not only more efficient, but also more effective-with scores closer to the ideal case criteria, as determined by the American Board of Orthodontists.

We're thrilled to share these significant results with professionals-like you-who not only offer patients a customized, unique smile by using Insignia, but also provide them with a treatment option that is proven to be more effective and efficient!
